Ever think about what the colors and lights represent at Christmas?
Ever think about why Jesus was born?
It's quite an amazing thing to think about. That the blood of goats and bulls could only satisfy the sins of the people, for one year, and what was to be done and the order and the way and who could do it, the High Priest, it all had to be done in a certain way, one day of the year, on the Day of Atonement. If it wasn't done exactly to God's instruction then the priest was killed by God!
Can you imagine if this till had to be done today! In this day and age we live in today.
No, I can't for one minute imagine what that would be like!
And so, for us to have relationship with God, I am eternally grateful that He chose for His son to be born, with life giving Blood (the red in Christmas) pure and holy, unblemished blood to be shed once and for all for the sins of the people.
His blood is the giver of life. Eternal life, life with Him in heaven. Unless you are surrendered to this knowledge and believe that this is truth, then you will never enter into
eternal life in heaven.
One of the ways we know that we have entered into this truth is that our lifestyle changes and we desire to be more like Christ, we hunger to learn more about Him, and we desire to obey His word.
The "red" in Christmas is Jesus - His blood being created and later poured out for us.
The Lights, a reminder of His Light that shines through us, and the eternal life we have in Him!
Merry Christmas.
