It's been a while

OK, so it's been awhile. And we have been to some places, for instance Marrs Hill, Athens Greece. the place where the Great Philosophers came to think? I think, well I know Paul came to preach to them anyway. That is the Acropolis in the back ground

Istanbul, Turkey. A bustling city, very populated, and hard to believe Constantine made it the Capitol of Rome when he declared Christianity the official religion to the known world at the time, Istanbul, formerly known as Constantinople

Corinth Greece, so much history, journeys of Paul, this is the Canal that was dug by slaves, started at the time of the early church, it connects Corinth to the Port of Piraeus or something like that, much easier than having to go all the way around. Especially back in the day it was a long journey

Beautiful Santorini, Greece and amazing site from the Port and even better from the Ship and top the mountain. We had a wonderful climb to the top and enjoyed breath taking views
One of our favorite place to visit Rome! Here we are in a park by the Colosseum. Ancient Rome is always fascinating. All the places we visited was with a study tour in the Life of Paul. So much to learn and such an eye opener to the things we so so little of. We also went to Ephesus, Naples, and Pompeii. I wish I had time to down load more pictures but this will do for now. More blogging later...a couple months or so, maybe sooner.

What's the Latest???

Well it has been a while. Emily has come back to Maui and has made an amazing recovery. Pierre spoke at Hope Chapel earlier this month and more than 150 people took a stand for righteousness and a deeper walk with the Lord. He also went to the Big Island and spoke at Volcano Assembly of God. Played his best round of Golf. The Lord is using us. I helped launch a women's bible study that has over 70 women coming. We really have been blessed this month.
Lastly, We're headed to the Mediterranean! We are doing a study tour of the Apostle Paul. I think it will be very educational and we are really looking forward to it.

Continued Prayers For Emily

We are so thankful to our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ for his hand of healing on Emily. When Linda came out of her room, she could hardly contain herself as she was leaping with joy at hearing Emily faintly say something to her. What an amazing God we have. He has spared Emily's life for a reason, a purpose, to Glorify Him. We give Him all the Glory and Honor and Praise.

Prayers For Emily

Emily Spencer was hit by a car and is in ICU, She is a child hood friend of Danielle's when she lived here on Maui. She just moved back last May.

We thank God for saving her life. She is precious to Him, precious to us. We are continually lifting her up to the Lord and asking for complete restoration. Emily is improving and we are all the more thanking Jesus for that. Let the prayer continue, may we be on our knees to our heavenly father who is more than able.

Bocce Ball Anyone

When you've got a great lawn & great friends you can't pass it up. Who ever invented this game (the Italians I think) got a bunch of adults chasing a little white ball with a couple heavier ones and the outcome is different every time. It's actually a lot of fun and a great social game. The beach makes it pretty interesting too sometimes.

RE-EXAMINE MY LIFE

Matthew 7:13- 23

That is not easy. The scripture I placed on our title really has hit home. I have to re-examine my life. If that gate is really small, and that road is really narrow, which I think it is because Jesus said it is, and I do believe every word written in the Bible, then am I going to enter it based on Gods word or because I think so. Does my life really reflect Gods word and am I bearing good fruit and doing the will of the Father. I have got to compare my life to scripture and nothing else.

I'm finding that God's word is not a comfy feel good message that the church has turned it into today. Nor is it something that we should take lightly. Like not reading it or really studying it. I'm finding more and more that Christians or people who call themselves Christians don't even know the word of God, and the instruction it gives to us and the life it has called us to live. (Holiness, Godliness, Purity, righteousness) to name a few. Those who call themselves Christians today, look very different to this.

This has been very sobering to me. Re-examining my life is not easy, it requires honesty, openess, and welcomes change and heavy rebuke, necessary to expose the sin and deception that has slowly crept in over the years of complacency in the church and our lives. I personally feel this needs to be done regularly, often, everyday. Not an easy thing to do, but very necessary.

Places We've Been

Israel, this was the opportunity of a lifetime!!

Traveling is Awesome

We've been thinking about traveling again. Nothing has jumped out to grab us just yet. Should we go somewhere we've never gone? Or should we include ministry? Or education. I'm not sure if it has to have a purpose or for pure pleasure. I only know that the places we have traveled together has been some of the biggest blessings of my life. Here's a few places we've been.

A Thought

When I think about our culture today and how rapidly it is moving away from God, I feel comforted knowing that I can always rely on God's word for truth and wisdom. And I realize how important it is to daily be learning about what HIS word says, so as to not lose sight of it. It's vital to my life as a follower of Christ!

1 Corinthians 1:27 - 31 But God chose the foolish things of this world to shame the wise. And God chose the weak things of this world to shame the strong. And He chose the lowly things of the world and the despised things - and the things that are not, that HE might nullify the things that are, that NO MAN should boast before God. It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: " Let him who boasts boast in the Lord"

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

What a whirl wind

We had a great time with our kids, went to the beach, had a few BBQ's and some nights out. We attended one of their best friends wedding which was so beautiful and really enjoyed having our kids home. We look forward the next visit. Us going there or them coming here again. We'll see. I hope it's soon!

Our kids are home

It was so good to find out that our kids made their flight. We picked them up at the airport, and soaked up the wonderful sunshine of Maui for the first time in a year and a half together. It has been so good catching up!

The Flights are full!

Our kids were suppose to arrive today. I prayed every time I awoke in the night, asking God to provide 3 seats. But, thats not what happened. We are very greatful that everyone had a good attutude, and I will be going to the airport today to pick up their Luggage, because it made the flight. We are asking the Lord to bring them tomorrow. I pray there will be room for them then.

Oh by the way another rat is in our attic. The sticky trap didn't hold this one down. If we catch it I'll take a picture. I think it's a big one. Yikes!

We had a rat!

So it was about 4 am last week. We heard noises, we thought on our roof. Maybe cats. Pierre took a look around outside and did see a cat jump off our roof, and there was another one in the back yard. Well it seems that the cat chased a RAT into our attic. It has been trying to make a home for a week now. I got sticky traps, still hearing noises in our attic!! The next morning nothing. We put some cheese on the sticky trap, and Tuesdays Morning we caught our selves and ugly rat. I wish I took a picture of it but it was actually a pretty ugly site! This sunset taken down by Polo Beach is way more pleasant to the eyes.
